Do you do bulk orders, and is there a minimum?

Yes, bulk is what we do, and there is no minimum order quantity. Everything is made to order and quoted per order, so quantities and contents flex to your needs. Tell us your quantity and budget and we will confirm the details in your quote.

Can gifts be branded or personalized?

Yes. We offer custom engraving with no minimum order quantity. We can add your logo or a guest name through custom labels and engraving, story cards that tell the maker's story, and a wooden gift box with logo engraving so the packaging is branded too.

What gift sets or premium options do you offer?

Our signature premium option is the Phuang Malai range, presented as named tiers from THB 1,290 (Malai Petite Purity) up to Malai Princess Purity at THB 4,555. We also offer the Premium Christmas Gift Set (14 pieces, guide THB 2,596), a Thai table set from Vintage Coasters (THB 450) and Ullulita napkin rings (THB 550), handmade cotton dreamcatchers, Thai keychains, and cotton Christmas ornaments from THB 159 for the affordable bulk tier.

Are your gifts sustainable or ethical?

Our gifts are made through Akha Ma-De, which Nicha founded to reflect the power of her mother, employing Akha women in Asha village, Chiang Rai, on a work-from-home model since 2021. Macrame by Nicha won first prize in the SME category at the UN Women 2024 Thailand WEPs Awards, and profits are reinvested into the project's development. To be transparent, we make natural cotton craft goods and hold no eco or fair-trade certifications, so this is a named-supplier social-impact story rather than a certified-material claim.

What is the lead time?

Because everything is made to order, plan for roughly one month as a general guide. The earlier you reach out, the more room we have to get your order right.

How does payment work?

Because every piece is made to order, we begin production once your payment is received. Settling the quote upfront confirms your order and reserves your production slot, which matters most in our busy Christmas season. We will set out the amount and payment details clearly on your quote before anything starts.

Do you supply hotels and events?

Yes. We supply 5 star hotels, hospitality and MICE with welcome gifts, turndown gifts and event giveaways such as coasters, napkin rings, the table runner, the malai and small dreamcatchers.

Where is your Akha village?

Our village is called Asha. It sits about 25 minutes north west of Chiang Rai city, near the well known Huai Mae Sai waterfall, in the Mae Yao district, Chiang Rai 57100. This is where the ladies live and work from home.

Can we visit the Akha village?

Not just yet. For now all the ladies work from home, and we do not have a proper space to welcome you the way we would like to. We are working hard and saving to build our own workshop, and when we do, you will be very welcome.

Do you have a store or showroom?

We do not have a store or showroom at the moment, but we would be happy to meet you at your company in Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. For companies based in the south of Thailand, we are glad to arrange a video call.

Do you make free samples?

Handcrafted work is laborious and takes time. We can craft a single sample piece so you see the final result before ordering in bulk, but we are not able to make it for free, as we have to buy the materials and the custom boxes for it.

How do you ensure a fair income for the artisans?

Fair, stable income close to home is the whole purpose of Akha Ma-De. Each artisan works under her own agreement: Abu Jan and Abu Jor work with us full time, while Abu Athu, Abu Anna, Ama Mishu and Api Minium work according to their availability. Pay follows the Thai legal minimum wage, which is already 2 to 3 times more than the ladies would earn from farming their own crops. Each year they also receive a significant bonus, in recognition of their work through our demanding Christmas season.

Can you provide a tax invoice with company ID?

Yes, we do.
