Collection: New Year Gifts

Each one is handmade by Akha women in Chiang Rai through our Akha Ma-De program.

Cotton Garlands for a Respected Elder

Our first recommendation is the Malai Glin Rak (฿499), a hand woven cotton garland presented in a wooden gift box, in gold, the colour of prosperity. It fits the occasion beautifully.

On the morning of 1 January, Thai families visit respected elders and senior superiors, present a gift with a blessing, and receive a blessing in return.

Woven containers and handwoven fabric are among the traditional gifts for the day, so a hand woven cotton piece carries that custom forward naturally.

A quick note on colour: gold or yellow is the auspicious choice, and red is right when your gift is for a Chinese Thai recipient.

Logo and Message Engraving for Companies

For a year end gift that carries your brand,

• the Diplomatic Malai (฿2,690) is our VIP phuang malai (Thai garland) for the clients and partners who matter most,
• the Malai Glin Rak (฿499) arrives in its wooden gift box, in gold, the colour of prosperity,
• the Signature Bracelet (฿390) can be engraved with your own text through a simple quotation,
• the Macaron and Madeleine napkin ring pairs (฿490) come in custom colours to match your identity,
• and the premium mongkhon (auspicious blessing) keychain (฿390) is available in bulk with no minimum purchase.

There is a practical bonus too: the Revenue Department allows client gifts to be deducted up to 2,000 baht per person per occasion, and most of our giftable pieces sit well under that ceiling.

New Year Gifts Under ฿500

Seventeen pieces in this collection sit under ฿500, so a whole office list stays inside one budget.

The pla ta phian (woven barb fish) keychain (฿390) symbolises wealth and abundance, and the turtle keychain (฿350) is an auspicious symbol of longevity and prosperity. The full keychain range starts at ฿350, with the elephant, the muay thai mongkhon and the phuang malai (Thai garland) keychain alongside them.

At the top of this tier, the Malai Glin Rak (฿499) still comes in its wooden gift box, which makes it the one piece here that works for a senior recipient without leaving the budget.

Round out the tier with hand woven fridge magnets from ฿350, small dreamcatchers at ฿450, and our Christmas ornaments from ฿159, which double happily as new year gifts, from the pla taphian Christmas fish to the little Christmas elephant.
