Malai Petite Corporate & Diplomatic: Your Colours, Quietly Worn
▶ Pre-order only.
The Malai Petite Diplomatic carries respect, distinction and the strength of lasting relationships, in the most restrained form we make.
Here only the belt is customised, in the colours of your company or your country. The garland itself stays white, so the colours read as a signature rather than a costume.
That restraint is the point. A minimal piece says the relationship does not need decorating to be understood, and in diplomacy and in business that is usually the more confident thing to say.

Why the Petite form suits a diplomatic gift
The Petite is the cleanest design we make. A single ring, correct proportions, no ornament competing for attention. That is exactly why it works here.
A gift exchanged between organisations or between countries has to do two things at once: honour the occasion, and not overstate the relationship. An elaborate piece can read as trying too hard. A restrained one, made properly and finished in your colours, reads as considered.
It also travels and sits well. In a wooden box it arrives as a gift, and on a desk or a shelf afterwards it holds its place in a room without dominating it.
What the colours do
The belt carries your flag or your corporate identity. On a white garland those colours are the only ones present, so they are read immediately and correctly.
It is a small design decision with a diplomatic logic behind it: your colours are given the place of honour, and nothing else on the piece argues with them.
Tell us the colours and we match them. If you have a brand palette with exact references, send those.
When it is given
- Official visits and delegations, where every guest receives the same piece and the colours name the occasion.
- Signings and partnership announcements, where a garland marks the moment better than a plaque.
- Corporate anniversaries and long-service recognition, in the company's own colours.
- Client gifts at New Year, when you want something Thai that is not a hamper.
Presented in both hands, this is the gesture Thai custom calls a malai kon, and it carries more weight than any object of the same value. If you want the background, we wrote it up here: what a Malai Kon is.
How to care for it
- Handle it gently. Cotton is delicate. Keep handling to a minimum.
- Keep it out of direct sunlight. Direct sun fades cotton, and it fades a customised colour first. Somewhere dry and cool is best.
- Keep it dry. Damp causes mould, which damages cotton.
- Dust it regularly with a soft brush or a cloth.
Cared for properly, it stays beautiful for many years.
