Malai Bao Sao, Thai Wedding Garlands to Keep Forever 💍✨

Pre-order only.

A new concept, and we would be very happy to make it for your wedding first!

----------------

This is a piece we have been dreaming about.

The photo you see is our first prototype. Malai Bao Sao is a brand new concept, and we would love to create the very first pairs with you, in the colours of your wedding theme, for the day you say yes.

At a Thai wedding, the bride and groom each wear a มาลัยสองชาย (two-tailed garland), placed on them by a respected elder. Fresh flowers fade within a day. Ours are knotted by hand in cotton, so your wedding garlands stay with you for years.

After the wedding, hang them on your wedding photo in your bedroom, a beautiful souvenir that keeps this day with you forever.

The Garlands of a Thai Wedding

At a Thai wedding, the couple wears a มาลัยสองชาย (two-tailed garland), with a ribbon or bow at both ends. They are two separate garlands, one for the bride and one for the groom.

In the Royal Thai Army's order of ceremony, the presiding elder places the garlands on the groom and the bride at the water-pouring blessing, พิธีหลั่งน้ำสังข์ (the conch-water ceremony). At the evening reception, the most senior guest places the garlands on the couple again.

Many couples wear the same pair at both moments, then keep it by the bed or dry it as a keepsake. A cotton pair keeps that memory without fading: hang it on your wedding photo, and every time you see it, the day comes back.

The Flowers Behind the Tradition

In Central Thai weddings, ดอกรัก (crown flower) is threaded into the couple's garlands. Its name literally means love, which is why it speaks of the couple's love.

Jasmine, pure white and fragrant, is linked with pure love. Our cotton garlands carry these wishes in the colours you choose.

Who This Is For

For couples, it is a pair of wedding garlands made in your own colours, to wear on the day, then hang on your wedding photo and keep for life.

For families, it is a heartfelt wedding gift to the bride and groom, with a tradition behind it that everyone at the ceremony recognises.

For wedding planners, it is a way to bring the couple's theme into the most traditional moment of the day.
